5 Motherhood Truths to Remember (and Repeat Out Loud)
Parenting is a moving target.
One day (or hour) everything is smooth sailing: kids listening, siblings hugging, vegetables being eaten.
And the next day can be, well, challenging: fights and whining, fruit snacks for dinner and never ending timeouts or TV demands. It’s enough to make even the most saintly among us want to just turn this van around.
Here is the important thing to know: regardless of what type of day (or week) you are having, YOU ARE A GOOD MOM.
Keep these truths close and repeat them out loud often.
| 1 | Every baby and child cries, sometimes uncontrollably. Mamas do too.
| 2 | Motherhood is hard for all moms—even if her hard looks or seems different than mine and even if she never speaks of just how hard it is.
| 3 | Me time is important, not selfish.
| 4 | I can let go of the guilt.
| 5 | I am a good mom.
